Beach Blanket Babylon
CLUB FUGAZI

I think by now there is a law that if you come to San Francisco, you have to see Beach Blanket Babylon, (well not really!) but why wouldn’t you want to see it.  Beach Blanket is our best-loved longest running musical comedy revue (always a great spoof on pop culture!) and it’s been playing at the same Theatre for over 30 years!  For heaven’s sake that is why we renamed Green Street to Beach Blanket Babylon Blvd.  This show is world-renowned for its extravagant costumes, outrageously huge hats, biting satire and is constantly changing with the times.  And oh boy the times they is a changing!

Judy's Tips

When you arrive in San Francisco, look for two of our free weekly publications, the SF Weekly and the Bay Guardian. They can be found on most newspaper boxes on most any street corner.

These two publications have up to the minute extensive listings of that week's events, newly announced concerts, many many small clubs and music venues. But don't expect directions or maps to these venues, that's what our Local's Insiders Secrets to San Francisco" package is for.
